The return of live music venues and the reopening of the economy following the Covid-19 pandemic has proved to be a major boon for music royalty collection organizations.

“We just met with the MIP Kids Buyers Advisory Board,” Smith noted. “They felt it was a very profitable market for them, and they had their diaries booked out. We had multiple exhibitors here selling their kids’ content. We had the Future of Kids TV Summit with a packed-out audience.”

Denise Richards has played plenty of trophy wives, both fictional and semi-fictional, but her latest role as the ex-spouse of a high-rolling crypto fraudster in upcoming series “Paper Empire” gave Richards the opportunity to do “something very fun and challenging and very different,” she says.

Alyssa Milano is set to deliver the keynote address at MIPCOM Cannes’ annual Women in Global Entertainment Power Lunch, co-hosted by A+E Networks in partnership with The Hollywood Reporter.
