Metropolis Studios in London is the World's Largest Independent recording Complex.

The Heart of The British Music Industry

Working in-house with the fantastically talented team at Metropolis Studios was a true highlight. Many consider the facility to be the beating heart of the British music industry. More than 50% of the UK’s Top 40 Chart is serviced – recorded, mixed or mastered – at Metropolis. Housed in a former steam power house, the complex is now staffed by Grammy Award-winning engineers and home to its own record label, publishing company, video production company and one of the London campuses of the Academy of Contemporary Music.

PR & Events

We worked closely with all teams at Metropolis, from directors to engineers, social media teams and students at the Academy, to drive a PR and Marketing strategy that saw the studio achieve coverage across every continent. The key to the facility’s messaging was to maintain the vital importance of its priceless legacy and integrity of the core recording business, which involves a good deal of balancing the confidentiality of artists with celebrating successes, alongside the profiling of exciting developments in the business. Although mainly an industry press led outreach campaign to draw in new business, attention was always paid to stories and initiatives of interest to consumer titles.

Part of the ongoing profile-raising of the studio was the live events programme. It was an absolute pleasure to curate, promote and host the popular Metro Acoustic and Metropolis Sessions series of live music nights staged in the studio. These were a genuine showcase platform for the most exciting emerging artists, who were given the opportunity to perform to an invited industry audience, right in the heart of the business. The nights were always a fantastic networking opportunity for guests and it was particularly satisfying when artists were offered label meetings, management representation, sync opportunities and live bookings as a result of performing.
